On this day in 1955, UNITED ARTISTS released NIGHT OF THE HUNTER. Directed by CHARLES LAUGHTON, this suspenseful thriller about a two small kids on the run from a psycho killer had audiences on the edge of their seats. The terrific cast is headed by ROBERT MITCHUM, SHELLY WINTERS and LILLIAN GISH. Still pretty scary.
