Director Oliver Stone teams with Showtime for "Oliver Stone's Secret History of America"

Famed filmmaker, Oliver Stone (Wall Street) is teaming up with the cable network, Showtime for a new documentary series, Oliver Stone’s Secret History of America.

The 10 episode doc will enlighten viewers about the unknown aspects of American history through the vision of the Academy Award-winning director. And Stone plans to explore the “real” events that shaped out nation and how those actions affect our country’s future.

Stone’s a busy man. He is also working on the sequel to Wall Street, Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps. Word is Susan Sarandon is in negotiations to play the mother of Shia LaBeouf’s character, Jacob.

Oliver Stone’s Secret History of America premieres on Showtime in 2010.
