Wynonna Judd turned a special guest on Who Wants to be a Millionaire into cold, hard cash on behalf of her favorite charity, Backpack Mission Ministries. The group will get a $50,000 infusion, which is a lot of dough to provide backpacks filled with food for children in impoverished homes in rural Kentucky; the singer’s home state.
Judd is also appearing in a four-part web series, I’m With Wy, which begins today on ABC.com. The series features the country music sensation in support of the net’s primetime special, CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock. ABC.com is showcasing the singer in a short-form series shot in Nashville during the CMA Music Festival. Fans will get a detailed look behind-the scenes of the upcoming special.
The timing couldn’t be better. Judd is celebrating her 25th anniversary in the music business.
CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock airs Monday, August 31 st, 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
