On this day in 1961, M-G-M released the sexy comedy romp THE HONEYMOON MACHINE. Directed by RICHARD THORPE, this film would be considered ‘family fare’ by today’s standards but back in ‘61 it was pretty racy stuff. STEVE McQUEEN was the unlikely comedy lead with JIM HUTTON, PAULA PRENTISS, DEAN JAGGER, JACK WESTON and JACK MULLANEY doing the heavy comedy lifting. Interesting today mostly because of McQUEEN’S presence.
