On this day in 1941, M-G-M released WHISTLING IN THE DARK. Directed by S. SYLVAN SIMON, this was the first in a series of ‘WHISTLING’ movies starring RED SKELTON as Wally Benton, a bumbling actor better known to his radio audience as a detective known as ‘The Fox’.
