On this day in 1978, NEW WORLD PICTURES released PIRANHA. Just another B-movie fright-fest to the naked eye but get a load of these names. Directed by JOE DANTE from a script by JOHN SAYLES, PIRANHA starred BRADFORD DILLMAN, HEATHER MENZIES, KEVIN McCARTHY, KEENAN WYNN, BARBARA STEELE, MELODY THOMAS SCOTT, BRUCE GORDON, PAUL BARTEL and RICHARD DEACON. Not a bad roster for a movie about flesh-eating fish.
