On this day in 1955, WARNER BROTHERS PICTURES released PETE KELLY’S BLUES. Written by, directed by and starring JACK WEBB this tale of a young man with a horn during the roaring twenties is a great watch despite its many flaws. The teriffic supporting cast includes PEGGY LEE, EDMOND O’BRIEN, JANET LEIGH, ANDY DEVINE, LEE MARVIN and ELLA FITZGERALD. This one is definitely worth checking out.
