Making the movie “Funny People” brought Adam Sandler back to a familiar place — the stand-up comedy stage. Though he largely gave up stand-up to concentrate on his film career, Sandler was easily able to get himself back in that mindset for his role as a successful comic who learns he’s dying and uses his sense of humor to get through the experience.
