185When director Judd Apatow was looking for somebody to play against Adam Sandler’s terminally ill comic in “Funny People,” he didn’t have to look far.  He turned to Seth Rogen, who’s worked with Apatow on every project he’s directed (”The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” “Knocked Up,” and TV’s “Freaks & Geeks” and “Undeclared”).  Rogen was ecstatic that Apatow wanted him for the role, even though it was far from the usual type of role Rogen’s become known for.
