David Hasselhoff pitched this updated version of his series Knight Rider to the network. Hoff’s plan was to continue starring in the franchise and have his now 50-plus years of age featured prominently into each story – poking a bit of fun at himself. The top brass at NBC loved the concept so much they bought the idea immediately - then kicked Hoff to the curb and restructured the entire premise. It was canceled after a year. Don’t mess with the Hoff.
