mick-jagger-1975-76On this day in 1943, Michael Phillip Jagger, later known simply as Mick, is born in Dartford, England. He dropped out of the London School of Economics to form the Rolling Stones with Keith Richards, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts, and Brian Jones. The band cultivated a rebellious, in-your-face attitude that contrasted with the clean-cut sound of the Beatles and other groups in the early 1960s.
