On this day in 1985, ISLAND ALIVE released KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN. This moving story of two political prisoners in a South American prison won several critical awards for both it’s look and performances. Directed by HECTOR BABENCO and starring WILLIAM HURT and RAUL JULIA, the film went on to inspire a Broadway musical of the same name.
