On this day in 1965, UNIVERSAL PICTURES released I SAW WHAT YOU DID, directed by the legendary schlock-meister WILLIAM CASTLE. Aimed directly at the youth market, this low-budget thriller featured a decidedly not youthful cast that included JOAN CRAWFORD, JOHN IRELAND, LEIF ERICKSON and JOHN ARCHER. CASTLE’S two teen ‘discoveries’ (ANDI GARRETT, SARA LANE) turned out not to have the impact he was hoping for. A fun ‘bad movie we love’.
