After achieving mainstream success with his role in “300,” Gerard Butler’s mailbox began to fill up with scripts. It’s a nice problem for an actor to have, when you’re given so many choices — but then you actually have to make those choices. Among the decisions he made were the new romantic comedy “The Ugly Truth” and next year’s “The Untouchables,” and he told us about the thought process behind choosing his roles. Gerry has good instincts when it comes to choosing movies and we his fans are there because of this. His action loaded personality makes him one of the top actors in the field today. He has the Charm of Cary Grant and the Scottish grit and warrior ethic to pull of the historic roles as well. I would and so would several million of his fans ,trust his choices right down the line.
On to Victory Gerry.

He has more poor quality films than good. I think he’s chosen some truly terrible movies most especially lately. But the truth is that unless it’s actually the actor’s production co that’s in control - the actor’s themselves (no matter how big they are) don’t have any control over the script or the outcome of the movie. Film is a director/editor’s medium. They alone have the power to make a script & an actor look very bad.
