Miley Cyrus’ hit song The Climb has become the most popular song choice at the American Idol auditions this season according to Ryan Seacrest, who should know after years of hosting the Fox show.

Seacrest surprised Miley Cyrus with the news during his radio program Thursday. The singer notes The Climb is a perfect choice for Idol contestants because it’s about not giving up on your dreams.

Seacrest talked to Cyrus via phone from the set of her new movie, The Last Song, in which she co-stars with Greg Kinnear and Kelly Preston.
