On this day in 1939, WARNER BROTHERS PICTURES released HELL’S KITCHEN. Based on the 1933 JAMES CAGNEY film, THE MAYOR OF HELL, this time around the star was RONALD REAGAN  and the film introduced THE DEAD END KIDS. This gritty tale of crime and corruption on the streets 1930’s New York remains a classic today.
