On this day in 1979, ORION PICTURES  released the cult classic THE WANDERERS. Directed by PHILLIP KAUFMAN and set against the dark urban backdrop of 1963 New York, this film played into the fears of every suburbanite’s vision of urban crime. KEN WAHL, KAREN ALLEN and ALLEN ROSENBERG were well cast in the leads.
