This particular song “Want” brings a clarity to Adams voice….showing that he actually has a voice (no question) without the background music drowning him out like most rock and roll musicians. This is what most listeners want……….a VOICE to listen to and believe me he has one. He doesn’t even need the background music. Adam…..let your VOICE be heard. Love you!!!!

It is distressing to see how you “kids” have such serious prejudices in these unsettling times. You want to argue music like it was politics. Entertainers are just people to entertain us. Until we know the facts, why jump the gun and accuse anyone of lying? Adam’s quote was in response to ONE song being leaked (Want), which may have been the one that Adam did not write, just was paid to sing for a demo.

THEN there may be OTHER songs that they have gotten hold of to include on the album that Adam co-wrote awhile ago and sang.

It sounds like there are different batches of songs here with different origins.

I can certainly understand Adam wanting his first album released to be the CURRENT one with his current tastes, input, producers,co-writers,promoters, etc.

However, from a strictly business standpoint, I think many record companies would be doing just this, releasing it now and hoping for the best…..

Even if the actual songs are not that great, with most people being aware of the background, and Adam’s voice still being what we already love, it won’t hurt him….

If you like his voice, you like it, if you don’t. you won’t buy it. Same as the thousands of other recording artists out there.

Huge stars like Madonna, Celine, Elton, Beyonce, etc., have just as many people hating their voice as loving it, you are never going to please everyone.

It’s good to see an Adam fan say this. I agree with you and your fellow Adam fans should listen to your wise words. Those Adam fans who continually want to slam people for having a different opinion need to grow up. Adam screams and is over the top in a lot of his performances and some people don’t like the theatrics. That’s why Kris won, his artistic vision and musicality are far superior to anything Adam has done. People like flash at first but tire of it quite easily. Time will tell the tale.

I don’t really like the song & I suspect Adam’s RCA release will be better than this. However, I would think if you are a hard core Adam fan, you would want this.

I like both Kris & Adam. Some of what has come out recently about Adam tho has not impressed me very much …. he’s OTT. On the other hand, guess that makes him a character & interesting.

I did not like his coat tails remarks ….. I think that shows a nievity on his part. Also the RS article was TMI.

I think the reason Adam is getting so much press is because the PTB at AI thought he was going to win & had all this arranged.

I still think Adam is interesting & will see what happens with his CD from RCA.

Videos of at least 3 of the songs in the list Brandon indicated have been on youtube for a while now. Adam also names his collaborators on these songs in his myspace page. Last, Adam’s mentioned one of them (Monte Pittman, Madonna’s guitarist) at least once in his interviews. In other words, Adam’s been open about these ASCAP-listed songs.

Why? Adam did session work for a flat fee for another recording company pre-Idol and before signing with 19E. Why in the world wouldn’t that company now try to sell the material they paid for given Adam’s huge popularity? It’s a business for christ’s sake, not a charity. 19E doesn’t like it, and Adam has to put his name on their press releases since he’s now their asset, but frankly I doubt he’s unhappy. The songs may not be the best, and the production may be of lower quality, but balancing out those two things are is wonderful voice and the fact that he’ll have material out to the masses, keeping him in their thoughts, before his 19E CD drops in the fall. It’s win-win for Adam, imo. I’m sure he won’t get royalties, but why should he since I’m pretty sure he agreed to a flat fee and got that compensation for the work. It’s just business.

Love, love, love Adam - he’s going to be fine and a superstar no matter what happens with this early CD.

If these songs are so awesome as the producers claim, then why did it take them so long to release them? Because they are only interested in using Adam’s popularity now to earn them some quick cash. Even if Adam did co-write these songs I don’t think he views them as “his” songs. He was hired to lend his voice and talents to someone else’s album. Thanks, but no thanks, I’ll be waiting for Adam’s real album.

The other idol runnerup made his ONE comment as an answer to a fan’s question on his PRIVATE message board. A mole stalker or his minions came in under pretense, stole it and made it public. Adam made all his comments publically on morning shows and other TV shows.

God, so much wrong with the above: the difference between this “album” and Kris’ early album is that KRIS PRODUCED, APPROVED, AND PERFORMED HIS - the only input Adam had on this money grab was to sing the demos in a sound booth - if you change a note or two they can technically call you a co-writer. They are trying to release it without any input from him. Adam’s fans are not happy.

HiFi records, (YEAH,WHO?) obviously doesn’t care about it’s reputation in the industry, because to pull out old demo tracks and release them to undercut Adam’s RCA album is BEYOND unethical. Hopefully 19/RCA can unleash the lawyers and shut these bloodsuckers down. I’m guessing all the little sleazebags want is a quick payoff.

So what? Kris wrote music and has 2 CD on ebay for sale before Idol. Why isn’t this also making news? I really hope both Kris and Adam are successful. I am a die hard Adam fan, but Kris and Adam have really shown the world that differences are beautiful and they really love one another and are happy for eachothers successes. There is no competition with them, it only seems some fans on either side want to continue on this ridiculous so called competition/war,.They are two very differnent artists and both made it to the top 2, so both have a lot of fans and both will sell a lot of albums! Why can the rest of us take the high road and do the same, it wouldn’t be an interesting world if we were all the same, that what makes , or can make it beautiful, what makes it ugly is when some are so small minded and take offense at anything that does not agree with their own opinions.

This is the first I’ve read of this, so I don’t know what is true and what isn’t. But I’ll say this, I really like this song. What a beautiful song accompanied by his beautiful voice, and if all his songs are like this one, I’ll think about buying the CD (or at least the one that comes out in the fall). I don’t care for his singing when he screams the song (the screaming is a turn-off to me). But when he sings songs like this, and like “Mad World” (*sigh*), I love it. Very very nice. Oh, and I’m more of a Kris Allen fan, but I also think Adam is a great singer. Remember, not all Kris fans say bad things about Adam……..Keep your songs similar to this one Adam!!!

And don’t forget Will, Adam has alread one two awards and landed the cover of RS, no Idol has done that. I don’t understand it either why Kris fans are still so bitter, what is the reason? There is room for both, although and it is my opinion that Kris won’t last, there are too many of his type already out there and he doesn’t have much range to change things, where as Adam is already a star and had the vocal chops, and charisma to go a long long way. As to fair?? as Kris is forgotten, there you have your answer, he is just not memorable!! sorry,I really like Kris as a person and some of his songs are quite good, but that;s about it. You can’t really argue about the press and interest in Adam it’s there because he is IT!!

AK power voted Kris in but they can’t power vote CD sales, and the truth will come out who will be the top seller and who has the staying power, and it will be Adam. Everyone is still fascinated with him, he has legions of fans,he is on all magazine covers, he is on Access, and Entertainment interviews,ti name a few, even you Kris fans have to still write on his sites because you are insecure. All the songs for which Adam is registered as a songwriter with ASCAP - with the exception of “Sacrifice” - have been widely circulated among his fans for months, and are easily obtainable as mp3 downloads or via YouTube. They’re entirely separate from this Hi Fi thing. If anything, that ASCAP link supports *Adam’s* version of events - that he was just a hired voice.

Besides, how frigging stupid would it be of him to lie to RCA, when the truth would inevitably come out and possibly destroy his career before it even began?

Adam=ego. (”coat tails??” Please!! How arrogant! How about establishing a career first?) I also don’t believe he’s honest. His “statement” says 2005 when these recordings were much later. There’s also a release from a completely different source coming out this summer recorded in late ‘08 or early ‘09. Kris won by a landslide no matter how much AI and crazy fans try to push Adam down our throats.

Come one! Adam said he just recorded some songs, he clearly didn’t write it and I don’t know why they would say he did. Don’t buy this album, they are just using Adam and his name. Adam will make no money off of it! Please don’t support this, Adam clearly doesn’t want it to be released.

I believe Adam 100%. They guy is so honest and he wouldn’t make an officiall statement saying the things he did if they weren’t true. If it was some truth to what these ppl are saying then I would think Adam would have written his statement a little differently.

Somebody is lying here - the producer claims Lambert co-wrote the songs, while Lambert says he was just paid to sing songs that he did not write, that were eventually pitched to other singers using the tracks he sang as an example. In fact, there is a version of the same song above being sung by someone else available on the internet!

I would believe Adam himself. The producer obviously had time to consider releasing this album earlier if he had wanted to and he did not, to his detriment. I prefer to purchase something that Adam himself endorses. Just another label trying to make a quick buck on Adam’s coat tails ala Perez Hilton, Clay Aiken and who knows who else.

Oh come on! Who would you believe? The man himself, or the record producer in it to make a quick buck, touting years old tracks as Adam’s “debut” album. Sorry, but I’ll go with Adam on this one. I’m waiting for Adam’s real vision on his REAL debut album expected from RCA in the fall.
