The news that SHIA LaBEOUF (a.k.a. the STAR of the movie) had opted out of tomorrow’s massive press conference for TRANSFORMERS 2: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN probably shouldn’t come as a surprise given the interviews he’s granted lately. Between the alcoholism, the parental issues and his obsessive need to ‘come clean’, it’s probably best he give his voice a rest. Hit the link for an example of what we’re talking about.

UPDATE: We’ve just been informed by Paramount Pictures that SHIA LA BEOUF has to leave the TRANSFORMERS 2: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN junket early in order to appear on THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH CONAN O’BRIEN. So, he is not a ‘no-show’ at the press conference (as we reported), he just won’t be there.
