On this day in 1939, M-G-M released TARZAN FINDS A SON. Directed by RICHARD THORPE and starring JOHNNY WEISSMULLER and MAUREEN O’SULLIVAN, the story has TARZAN and JANE finding a boy (JOHNNY SHEFFIELD) in a plane wreck and raising him as their own until greedy relatives discover that the kid’s still alive and try to grab his inheritance. Good fun.
