I actually have a Kiss Gene Simmons doll. Why I was saving it I have no idea. this can’t be for real — just more gene having to run off at the mouth. is it even remotely possible that he believes adam lambert wants to discuss the total non issue (duh) that he’s gay — as opposed to say, his music?? i also find it offensive that he needs to find a way to criticize this guy. obviously adam was thrilled to perform with kiss — and i must tell u his vocals totally carried the gig. and beth?? adam could release that now in its full version and sell more i tune downloads than all of the kiss versions combined. gene — do u doubt that? maybe that’s the heart of your problem here.

Gene Simmons what a shocker. I thought this guy was a little more classier than to comment about Mr. Lambert, I was wrong. Gene Simmons for some reason is dishing crap about alot of different people in the media. I really do not understand his reasoning for commenting on Adam Lambert calling him a puppy. It’s 2009 Gene, grow the hell up. Nobody gives two craps about what you think. You are a has been and if you were not you would not have been on AI. You are certainly no governor, perhaps in 1978 you were, years pass Gene, get a grip. For you to state Lambert cannot sing rock you sound like a complete moron. He sang “Whole Lotta Love” as good as Robert Plant. Why don’t you download the studio version of that song and tell me he cannot sing rock. Lamberts vocals on that studio version are insane. You couldn’t hit those notes if you wanted to governor. I guess Lambert’s version of “Born to be Wild” you didnt think was rock as well? Artists have opinions of other artists regarding their music style, however when he hit a low judging another artist in reference to their sexual preference and personal business you are a fool. Look at yourself, you slept with all of Hollywood and wrote books and made degrading remarks about other actresses in hollywood. You truly have NO business remarking on Lamberts personal life what so ever. You look idiotic. You may have been a star years ago, you are not anymore. I don’t blame the woman for not marrying you on your reality show, you are too much. I thought you were different, after watching that video clip and the unecessary comment about Lambert I have different views of you. Mr. Lambert’s tongue may not be as big as yours, but his pipes and charisma sure are. Gene, listen up! You should be a mentor to a new artist who is talented like Adam. It would be the classy thing to do. Adam is only responding to endless media frenzy about his sexuality, which he himself said shouldn’t matter. You should commend him in putting this issue to rest in legit media forums like Rolling Stone and 20/20. Also, he was so happy to be performing with you, why do you knock him down? I think people are hearing Gene wrong. What I heard Gene say was: “Adam shouldn’t talk about what he does behind closed doors, to the public.”

I felt that Gene was merely Advising Adam, to shut up about it, it’s nobodies business, and not to go there.

Which by the way, Adam hasn’t anyway. He has verbalized the words; “yes I’m gay” and talked about the time in his life when he realized he was gay, but I haven’t heard any details about his sexual habits, nor has anyone else.

It’s the media that keeps pounding away at Adam’s sexuality anyway. Otherwise, I’m sure he wouldn’t talk about it at all.

I’m an Adam fan but I really think Gene is getting tired of being bombarded with all of these questions about Adam.

Apparently, KISS and Gene Simmons, agreed to accept the American Idol gig, but now Gene can’t seem to get away from the Media hounding HIM about Adam.

Gene and KISS are Gene and KISS. And Adam is Adam. They have nothing in common and nothing to do with one another other than the fact that they sang a song together on American Idol.

I wish the media would just stick to interviewing Gene about his band KISS or his new TV show, and go ask Adam, Adam questions.

I for one will NOT buy an Adam Lambert album. I loved him at first on Idol, the more I watched the more I felt there was a dark side and I will not knowingly support anyone who is GAY. It is satanic and I am against it, I could not bring myself to vote for him during final night even though I had voted for him all along. I think it was God leading me this way.

Gene Simmons is a rock legend. And Adam is an American Idol runner-up with no album yet except the AI songs. Kiss has been around for 30 years now, with so many gold and platinum albums. Gene is being generous to Adam when he makes comments about him or gives him advice. He’s right, Adam gave in to the media who wanted to publish stories that would make people talk. He should just focus on his music, which is fantastic. Now I have officemates who thinks Adam is pathetic, they used to think he’s okay.

Gene Simmons, instead of being jealous of Adam Lambert’s over the top talent, you should be praising his talent and acknowledging what an amazing talent he is. The people commenting on here no nothing about the music business. Gene Simmons has a point - the only people that cared in the first place were the media looking for a “story”, and by Adam “coming out” he gave in to them, instead of concentrating on the music and the good things that are in store for his fans. The RS article was not necessary at all. People who love Adam will continue to love him, regardless of his sexual preference. I don’t think it was necessary to open up his whole life to the public at this stage of the game.

I agree with Joy’s statement that thanks to Adam Kiss got a break again. At this point in Gene’s life he should be grateful to Adam and keep his comments to himself.

Perhaps, due to age, he’s afraid that his peers will think that by singing with Adam that they will be associated with accepting and being gay himself. I wish that he could understand that accepting another person the way that they are without judgment or bias does not mean that you agree or are…

In the end he’s just tailgating on Adam’s star and attempting to get people to talk about him again which is obviously working. Gene you are transparent and pitiful! This is from a now “former” fan.

Simmons probably thinks he’s being progressively post-sexual, but he really hit a sour note with these comments. First, as someone who has let the world know ad nauseum about the thousands of women he’s supposedly bedded over the years, he’s one to talk about talking about one’s own sexuality. Second, the world is not with him on this one, especially today, when the brave people of Iran are literally fighting in the streets for - among other things - the right to be gay and not get hanged for it! I would suspect that instead of being tired of hearing about Adam Lambert proclaiming his pride in his sexuality, young gays in Iran can’t get enough of it.
