On this date in 1969, ALLIED ARTISTS PICTURES released the controversial FRANK PERRY film, LAST SUMMER. RICHARD THOMAS, BRUSE DAVIDSON and BARBARA HERSHEY play a close-knit group of friends on vacation on Long Island whose new friendship with a troubled girl (CATHERINE BURNS) leads to tragedy. A pretty amazing film for it’s time. Very hard to locate today.
