On this day in 1988, 20th CENTURY FOX released BIG, probably the best of contemporary ‘body switch’ movies. Directed by PENNY MARSHALL and featuring at least one iconic scene (the keyboard in FAO SCHWARZ), the film starred TOM HANKS, ELIZABETH PERKINS, JOHN HEARD and ROBERT LOGGIA. Thoroughly enjoyable but made better for HANKS’ man/boy quality.
