On this day in 1981, WARNER BROTHERS PICTURES released OUTLAND, a sci-fi film loosley based on the western HIGH NOON. Directed by PETER HYAMS, the film starred SEAN CONNERY as a marshall assigned to a remote mining community on Jupitor. Very dark and atmospheric, OUTLAND remains watchable to this day.
