On this day in 1958, ALLIED ARTISTS released THE ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN and the boomer generation had a new reason to adore sci-fi. Directed by NATHAN JURAN, this science fiction comedy of revenge told the story of an abused wife who, after an alien encounter, grows to giant size and goes after her cheating husband. Continues to be great fun to this day.
