On this day in 1971, AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL PICTURES released THE ABOMINABLE DR. PHIBES. Originally intended as a throwaway, this dreadfully campy horror movie about a doctor seeking revenge on the doctors he feels responsible for his wife’s death became a cult fave in short order. Great cast, lots o’ fun.
