On this day in 1962, UNITED ARTISTS released DR. NO, the first JAMES BOND film and the beginning of one of the most successful film franchises in history. Based on the book by IAN FLEMING, SEAN CONNERY embodied the suave, sophisticated (yet brutal) JAMES BOND 007, an agent on Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Almost fifty years later, DR. NO is an immensely watchable classic of the genre and to many boomers SEAN CONNERY will ALWAYS be JAMES BOND.
