On this day in 1975, PARAMOUNT PICTURES released what is arguably one of the worst, most offensive contemporary movies ever made. The idea that MANDINGO was even released during an era of developing enlightened civil rights is pretty amazing. Even on a camp, so-bad-it’s-good, bad movie we love level, MANDINGO is a pretty embarassing night a the movies.
