Take an abused wife, a remorseful hitman and an alcoholic detective and it could be the cast of a pretty dour drama. But in his film, THE MERRY GENTLEMAN, actor/director MICHAEL KEATON manages to inject those characters with enough subtle humor to keep it from being overwhelming.
