On this day in 1979, ORION PICTURES introduced big screen audiences to a young actress named DIANE LANE in A LITTLE ROMANCE and the movie world got a little brighter. Directed by GEORGE ROY HILL and co-starring SIR LAURENCE OLIVIER, THELONIUS BERNARD, SALLY KELLERMAN, ARHTUR HILL and BRODERICK CRAWFORD the film was a valentine to pre-pubescent love. Not necessarily a great movie but eternal thanks to ORION for the discovery of DIANE LANE.
