On this day in 1989, UNIVERSAL PICTURES released what some consider the greatest baseball movie ever made. KEVIN COSTNER stars as an Iowa corn farmer who hears voices telling him to build a baseball field. When he does, the Chicago Black Sox show up. Directed by PHIL ALDEN ROBINSON, this is a near perfect meld of the sports and fantasy genres.
