On this day in 1941, Charles Patrick Ryan O’Neal was born in Los Angeles, California, USA. He became well known as Rodney Harrison in the television series Peyton Place, a character he played for nearly five years.O’Neal was nominated for an Oscar for Love Story (1970). His other films include Paper Moon (1973), Irreconcilable Differences (1984), Chances Are (1989), Faithful (1996), Hacks (1997), and People I Know (2002).
O’Neal has been in an off and on again, long-term relationship with actress Farrah Fawcett. He was previously married to actresses Joanna Moore and Leigh Taylor-Young. He has four children: Tatum, Griffin (with Moore), Patrick (with Taylor-Young) and Redmond (with Fawcett).
