On this day in 1992, released one of the worst musicals ever made (and one that sits proudly on our ‘bad movies we love’ shelf), NEWSIES. Directed by KENNY ORTEGA (HIGH SCHOOL MUSICALS 1.2 & 3) and starring CHRISTIAN BALE, ANN-MARGARET, ROBERT DUVALL, MAX CASELLA, BILL PULLMAN and SOUTH PARK creator TREY PARKER (in a little, tiny role as a character named ‘Kid Blink’). It’s hard to believe the guy responsible for the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICALS is also the guy behind this.
