On this day in 1976, WARNER BROTHERS released SPARKLE the story of three Harlem sisters who become singers. Directed by SAM O’STEEN, written by JOEL SCHUMACHER and starring PHILLIP MICHAEL THOMAS, LONETTE McKEE, IRENE CARA ans DWAN SMITH, this little musical is both charming and inspirational. A really wonderful film.
