On this day in 1963, M-G-M released IT HAPPENED AT THE WORLD’S FAIR. Directed by NORMAN TAUROG, this was another cookie-cutter ELVIS PRESLEY movie made for no reason other than to make a few bucks. The good thing is that it serves as a great reminder of what the World’s Fairs were like in their heyday. Also notable for being the screen debut of KURT RUSSELL.
