On this day in 1970, 2oth CENTURY FOX released the Academy Award winning PATTON. Directed by FRANKLIN J. SCHAFFNER and starring GEORGE C. SCOTT and KARL MALDEN, this military biopic captured the hearts and minds of the American public despite the mind set of the people at the time. SCOTT won an Academy Award for his performance but notoriously declined to accept it. Great film!
