On this day in 1960, M-G-M released PLEASE DON’T EAT THE DAISIES. Based on JOHN KERR’S extremely popular autobiographical novel of the same name, it was the story of a New York City drama critic who moves his family to the ‘burbs only to find his wife grow jealous of his continuing involvement in city life. DORIS DAY, DAVID NIVEN, JANIS PAIGE and a host of well known character actors made for great fun in a not-so-great movie.
