New York, N.Y., February 9, 2009 –Master funnyman Rob Schneider stars and makes his directorial debut in Big Stan, an outrageous comedy about a nebbish con man who hires a martial arts expert to learn self-defense after he’s found guilty of fraud. Out in stores from HBO Home Entertainment on March 24, 2009, the film will be available in both DVD and Blu-ray formats. 

Three-time Emmy^®-nominee Rob Schneider (Saturday Night Live) plays Stan Minton, a two-bit swindler who gets caught bilking the elderly out of their retirement savings.  Convicted and given a prison sentence, Stan comes to the realization that he just might become “popular” with the other inmates.  Enlisting the aid of a mysterious guru known only as “The Master” (Golden Globe^® nominee David Carradine, Kill Bill 2) to teach him techniques he’ll need to survive, Stan soon puts his new hand-to-hand skills to work, becoming the enforcer of the cellblock and clashing with the evil Warden Gasque (played by Scott Wilson).
