On this day in 1939, M-G-M released the popular ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN, a not very faithful adaptation of the MARK TWAIN novel. MICKEY ROONEY and REX INGRAM starred and the film made a raft of money but it’s still not the book.
