Judge Jeanine Pirro Confirmed in First-Run Syndication:
Warner Bros. court strip Judge Jeanine Pirro, which currently airs on the CW in daytime, has been cleared in 75 percent of the country for first-run syndication next fall. Pirro will move to the Fox owned stations in the group’s nine duopoly markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and Baltimore. And it will air on stations in the Sinclair Group in 27 markets, including Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Milwaukee and Raleigh-Durham; and on affiliates from CBS Television Stations, Belo, ComCorp, Four Points Media Group, Journal Broadcast Group, LIN TV, Meredith, Newport Television, Raycom Media, Scripps-Howard and Tribune.

ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager, the cable netwoek’s highest-rated original series to-date, has been renewed for a second season with a 24-episode order. New episodes are expected to return this summer.
MyNetworkTV Announces Plans to Abandon Traditional Broadcasting Model:
With the exception of Friday Night Smackdown!, which joined MyNetworkTV this season, the three-year-old sixth network is expected to abandon the original programming model. Citing difficult economic times, repeats of Law & Order: Criminal Intent and other unnamed series are expected to populate the line-up next season in place of non-scripted fare like Street Patrol, Vice Squad and Jail; and scripted half hours The Tony Rock Project and Under One Roof. MyNetworkTV, which launched in the fall of 2006 with stripped telenovelas Desire and Secret Obsessions, is also planning on giving Saturday back to the affiliates.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars to Continue on Cartoon Network:
Cartoon Network has renewed CG-animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars from creator George Lucas and Lucasfilm Animation for a second season, with an order for an unspecified number of new episodes. The current freshman season finale will air on Friday, March 20 at 9 p.m. ET.
USA Acquires 2009 Universal Pictures Film Slate:
USA Network has acquired the exclusive network television premiere rights to the 2009 Universal Pictures film slate, which will consist two dozen of the studios’ films. Titles include Atonement, Couples Retreat, Duplicity, Fast & Furious, Funny People, Land of the Lost, Public Enemies, The Wolfman, and the untitled Nancy Meyers film with Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin.
Tony Robbins Reality Series on NBC:
NBC has ordered eight episodes of a new non-scripted series with self-help writer and infomercial maven Tony Robbins. Tentatively titled Breakthrough with Tony Robbins, the series will feature Robbins as he works with participants and helps them face personal challenges. No air-date has been announced yet.
Nick Cannon to Anchor America’s Got Talent:
NBC summer/reality competition America’s Got Talent, which has had two hosts in three seasons (Regis Philbin and Jerry Springer), has announced a new one for this summer: Nick Cannon, the 28-year old singer/actor. David Hasselhoff, Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan will return as the judges.
Anne Heche Heads to HBO:
Former Men in Trees star Anne Heche will headline a new HBO dark comedy called Hung, which focuses on a well-endowed high school basketball coach (Thomas Jane). Heche will play his ex-wife. Ten episodes have been ordered.
