STEVE MARTIN returns to the screen this week-end as Inspector Jacques Clouseau in THE PINK PANTHER 2. It’s his second time at bat in the role originated by the late, great PETER SELLERS and as daunting as it may have seemed to MARTIN, he’s not the first to do it. Under the direction of BLAKE EDWARDS, both ALAN ARKIN and ROGER MOORE played the bumbling French cop and, in TRAIL OF THE PINK PANTHER, several actors played Clouseau at various ages.
