On this day in 1964, Lopert Pictures released KISS ME, STUPID. Directed by BILLY WILDER from a script by WILDER and IAL DIAMOND, the picture was the focus of an avalanche of bad publicity before it even saw the light of the screen. Arguably WILDER’S weakest film (but certainly his most coarse), it does feature interesting performances by DEAN MARTIN, KIM NOVACK, RAY WALSTON (replacing PETER SELLERS) and FELICIA FARR.
