On this day in 1967, Columbia Pictures released director STANLEY KRAMER’S social/politcal film GUESS WHO’S COMING TO DINNER.

Starring SPENCER TRACY, KATHERINE HEPBURN, SIDNEY POITIER and KATHERINE HOUGHTON (HEPBURN’S neice) the story centers on a middle-aged white couple whose daughter brings her black fiance home to meet the family.

Nominated for ten Academy Awards, the film won two (Best Actress, Best Screenplay).
