On this day in 1982, Paramount Pictures released 48 HOURS. An old school ‘buddy movie’ directed by WALTER  HILL and starring NICK NOLTE and EDDIE MURPHY as a tough cop and a cool conman who team up to catch a killer.

The odd-ball pairing of NOLTE and MURPHY was an absolute audience pleaser.
