The Academy Award winning film adaptation of KEN KESEY’S best-selling ONE FLEW OVER THE CUKOO’S NEST was released on this day in 1975. Directed by MILOS FOREMAN from a screenplay by LAWRENCE HAUBEN and BO GOLDMAN, the film starred JACK NICHOLSON, LOUISE FLETCHER and was the first movie since 1939’s IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT to win all five major Oscars (Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor and Best Actress). Produced by MICHAEL DOUGLAS and SAUL ZANTZ, the film remains a classic to this day.
