Coming to THE LIFETIME CHANNEL on September 13 is a three hour biopic based on the life and times of COCO CHANEL. Three actresses play the famous designer at various stages of her life with SHIRLEY MacLAINE taking on the later years.

MacLAINE made an appearance at last months TCA press tour and told us how the subject of playing CHANEL came up back in 1961 with her CHILDREN’S HOUR co-star AUDREY HEPBURN. Clippage follows:
